SkyHigh Mount Dandenong & Scenic Lookout

SkyHigh Mount Dandenong

SkyHigh Mount Dandenong is situated on the uppermost reach of the Dandenong Ranges, amid cool ferny glades and lush towering native forests, SkyHigh is one of Victoria’s iconic tourist attractions with majestic views to be experienced day or night over the Melbourne skyline and beyond. From the terraced viewing platform you’ll get to spot the Mornington Peninsula, across the majestic sweep of Port Phillip Bay, surrounded by Melbourne’s growing urban fringes, and across to the You Yangs on the southern horizon.

Enjoy dining at the restaurant, bistro or something more casual on the lawn. If you have dinner in mind, be sure to have your table by a window booked well before sunset so you can experience the majestic change from day to night.  After sunset the southern sky, brilliant in the clear mountain night, is imitated by a spectacular carpet of twinkling lights. An exquisite and unparalleled vista not to be missed.

There is a beautiful English garden, set below a canopy of mature Blackwood trees to wander through and a hedged maze to get lost in. Check out the Wishing Tree and the Arthur Streeton Monument. Peer through the viewing binoculars overlooking the stunning views of the Melbourne skyline and the surrounding suburbs during the day. In the warmer months a pop-up bar operates on the lawn offering pizzas, tacos, wine and a selection of beers. Bring a picnic with you and enjoy this beautiful spot where you’ll feel on top of the world!
