Reservations and Cancellation Policy

On booking a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required to secure the booking. The balance will be automatically charged 14 days prior to arrival.

If the reservation is cancelled more than 14 days before the arrival date the 50% deposit can be transferable to another date. If the reservation is cancelled 14 days or less before the arrival date, or in the case of a no show, the amount paid is non-refundable however in extenuating circumstances the booking may be transferable to another date but will be at the discretion of the owners.

In the event of an early departure, guests will be liable for the full amount of the cost of their stay. In exceptional circumstances, this will be at the discretion of the owners.

Additional services such as flowers, champagne and chocolates, will be charged for upon booking.

Please note that upon making a reservation the agreement becomes a legal contract.

Failure to comply with these payment terms may result in your booking being cancelled by Villa d’Amour with no refund of any deposit paid.

Insurance

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance.

Children

Villa d’Amour caters exclusively for adults with a minimum age of 21. All bookings are based on the maximum of two guests staying at any time.

Groups

We do not accept bucks, hen or group bookings.

Pets

We regret that we are unable to accept pets. Should pets be found in the accommodation, guests may be requested to immediately vacate Villa d’Amour with no refund and will be liable for additional cleaning fees.

Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your reservation if your accommodation became unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  We would, however, attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the reservation. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Arrival

Villa d’Amour will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival and we kindly ask that guests check in before 7pm. Please note we do not offer a permanent reception and therefore if you would like to check-in outside of these times it must be agreed prior to your arrival. If you do not arrive or communication of lateness/delay are not made by 7pm it will be considered as a no-show and the owners retain the right to re-let Villa d’Amour.

Departure

Guests are requested to vacate Villa d’Amour by 10am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.  We reserve the right to charge any guest, who has not vacated Villa d’Amour by this time a subsequent night at the appropriate daily rate. If you have booked one of our special Book Direct packages, then you will have the added benefit of an early check in and a late check out.

Guests are expected to leave the property in a neat and tidy manner on departure. This includes washing and putting away dishes, returning all items to their original position, all food items removed from fridges and rubbish placed in appropriate bins. We ask that you turn off all lights, heating and appliances upon departure.

Additional cleaning fees (minimum $60) may apply if the property is not left in a presentable condition. Breakage, missing items or damage to the property will be charged at replacement/repair value including delivery and installation costs. We are sure you will care for Villa d’Amour with love as we do.

Extra Guests

Villa d’Amour caters for a maximum of two guests at any time. Any extra guests will be asked to leave immediately and if there is any evidence of extra guests staying the owners reserve the right to charge $300 extra per person. 

Code Red Fire Days

In the event of a Code Red Day (a Fire Danger rating in Victoria) being declared for our region, Villa d’Amour will be closed and the following procedure will apply:

  • We will advise you of this declaration as soon as it is confirmed by the Emergency Management Commissioner and we will assist you as much as possible.
  • Guests currently staying will be given the option to vacate Villa d’Amour prior to 5pm the evening before the Code Red day.
  • Guests due to check-in on the Code Red day will be called and advised that Villa d’Amour will be unavailable.
  • All guests who leave Villa d’Amour or have been advised not to attend will be issued with a credit voucher for a future stay equal in value to the balance of their stay.

Liability

The owners will not accept responsibility for any valuables lost or mislaid. The complimentary on site car parking space is for guests’ use during their stay, but we take no responsibility for any damages or losses incurred to vehicles in the car park, or property contained therein. Guests are reminded to take the usual precautions and not leave any valuables or other items on show in their vehicles. Our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and under no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.

Privacy Policy

Any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulations. Full details of our Privacy Policy can be found here.

Smoking/Vaping

Villa d’Amour is a non-smoking property and failure to comply will result in a minimum $200 fine. The same applies to vaping. Guests may also be liable for the loss of owner’s income from any future bookings affected by their actions. Guests either found smoking/vaping at Villa d’Amour or remains of signs of smoking/vaping will be asked to leave, with any accommodation monies already paid non-refundable. They will also be charged a fee of $200 to cover deep cleaning costs. 

Damage and Breakages

We kindly ask guests to report any damage to fixtures and fittings as soon as it occurs as this will help ensure that repairs, replacement or cleaning works are carried out immediately and may help reduce the risk of further damage.  Whilst we understand that accidents happen, we do reserve the right to charge for any cleaning or replacement costs.

Use of Wi-Fi

The provision of Wi-Fi services (excluding some restricted sites) is provided free of charge. However, we ask that due care and consideration is given to the amount and time taken downloading data and that all sites visited are of legal status only. Any downloads will be the sole legal responsibility of the operator. For safety purposes laptops should be turned off when left unattended.
